Credit unions run on their people. We build the tools that help them hire, train and serve.

Cupera develops a connected portfolio for the credit union industry: a verified job board, an AI financial fitness coach, professional books, department-level training, and a member rewards concept.

The Cupera family

Six ways we help credit unions hire, train and serve better

How it fits together

Better people make better credit unions.

Credit unions that hire well, develop their teams and give members useful tools deliver a better member experience. Each Cupera offering supports one step of that cycle.

How we work

These are rules for every Cupera product and for this website.

No stock photography

No invented proof

No made-up testimonials, client logos or statistics. Numbers appear only when we can source them.

Value before revenue

Job seekers and members get real help first. Credit unions pay for outcomes that matter to them.

Racun, your financial fitness coach. He levels up as you do.

Every member gets a fitness plan: save, watch your credit score, balance the budget, pay down debt, keep learning. The more you follow it, the stronger Racun gets. Try the sample plan below.

Meet Racun

A coach for the whole journey.

Racun follows a member through their lifetime with the credit union. He helps them save, plan and budget, and teaches them the basics through short training lessons, so members understand their money and what it means to belong to a credit union.

Lifetime journey

With members at every stage

Racun meets members where they are and grows with them.

First account

Teaches kids and teens what money is and how a savings account works.

First job

Helps set up direct deposit, a first budget and an emergency fund.

Building credit

Explains credit scores in plain words and how to raise one.

Big purchases

Prepares members for a car loan or a first home, and helps them avoid avoidable fees.

Saving and investing

Teaches investing basics and sets goals with automatic transfers.

Planning ahead

Covers retirement, a will and a trust, and what to leave behind.

Training for members

Lessons that make members smarter with money

The same way Cupera trains credit union staff, Racun can train members. Short lessons build understanding and trust, and members who understand their credit union use it more.

Branded for you

Training that looks like your credit union, not like the industry

Every module is branded to the credit union that licenses it: your name, your logo, your colors, and scenarios set in your branches. When a teller opens a lesson, it feels like theirs. Try it with your own name and color.

Sample screen with a made-up credit union. Your real logo, colors and branch names are set up for you when you license the training.

Included in every package. Your credit union's name, logo and colors on every module, plus your name in the scenarios.
Optional add-on (proposed). Custom scenes with your real branches, staff and local scenarios, and your own policies. Priced by scope. See pricing.

By department

Each department has its own module set, so a lender and a teller each train on their own work.

By charter and state

Federal charters and each state's rules get their own versions of the regulatory content.

As a full package

Credit unions can license the entire program for onboarding, learning and development. See pricing.

Status: Modules are in design. Regulatory content will be reviewed by qualified compliance counsel for each jurisdiction before release. Prices are proposed estimates, not final.
Reward

CU Coin

A rewards concept for members who build healthy money habits, with value shown beside checking, savings, cards and loans.

Concept, under legal review
The key question

What kind of coin is it?

The hard part is not the idea. It is deciding what the coin legally and technically is. There are three paths, and each carries a different regulatory load.

PathHow it worksTransfersRegulatory loadOur view
A. Closed-loop rewardsPoints earned and redeemed at one credit union at a fixed dollar value.Within the same credit union, such as parent to child.LowerStart here.
B. Shared rewards networkParticipating credit unions honor each other's coins, with settlement between them.Across credit unions and states.Moderate to highBuild toward it after A works.
C. Crypto-style tokenA tradable token on a ledger with its own market value.Open transfer.HighestNot now.

Regulatory load is our own planning assessment. Paths B and C likely raise questions under money transmission, securities and commodities rules, tax reporting and credit union regulators. Counsel must confirm before any build.

How a member could earn

Earn simulatorExample values only
Actions this year

Example rate: 1 coin per $10 on debit, 2 coins per $10 on credit.

Send coins (concept)

Why this matters: A coin that can only be spent at the issuing credit union is far simpler than one that moves between credit unions. Moving coins between credit unions would need a shared network, agreed values and settlement, so we treat it as a later phase.

Improve

SAFE, Self Assessment Friend for Employees

A feedback loop for the whole credit union. Employees assess themselves, their department, their manager and the direction of the organization, and leaders see where to act. New: the Growth Check-In, a more positive take on the performance review, built into the same guide.

Concept

Sample answers are examples, not real data.

New in SAFE

Growth Check-In, a performance review people look forward to

Use the toggle at the top of the e-guide to switch between Self assessment and Growth Check-In.

Questions that fit the department

Pick a department and the questions change: 10 core behaviors plus 4 for lending, member service, operations, compliance, collections, IT, marketing, finance, HR or leadership.

Clear 1 to 10 scale

Every score shows what it means in plain words, with a percentage and a label from Needs support to Outstanding. Low and high scores ask for an example, so feedback stays specific and fair.

Two-way feedback

Employees rate themselves and their manager, and the summary shows where views differ, with a conversation agenda and a 30, 60, 90 day plan.

Works with the self assessment

One tap pre-fills the check-in from the self assessment, so the two feed each other.

SMART goals

A goal builder checks that each goal is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound.

Your credit union, your questions

HR can turn core questions off, add its own by department, and show scores as 1 to 10, percent or both.

What people can assess

Self assessment for anything that matters

The same simple method works across the credit union.

Myself

How am I doing in my role? Prepare for an annual review with honest self reflection.

My department

How is my team doing, and what is getting in the way?

My manager

Upward feedback on support, clarity and coaching.

Initiatives and direction

How the strategic plan and the credit union's direction are landing with staff.

Sales and service

Teams assess their own sales results, service quality and follow-through.

Training

Staff rate each training module, so what works rises and what does not gets fixed.

A better annual review

A loop, not a one-way form

SAFE, the Self Assessment Facilitator, is a modern, interactive replacement for slow, clunky survey tools. People use it because it feels like an app, with a live thumbs-up feed, badges and levels, and Racun as their friendly guide. Most reviews flow one way, from a manager to an employee. SAFE opens a loop between employees, managers and leaders, so everyone gives and receives feedback and the review starts from honest self assessment.

  • ✓
EmployeeAssesses themselves before the review and arrives prepared.
  • ✓
ManagerCompares their view with the employee's and gives feedback in return.
  • ✓
LeadersSee patterns across departments and initiatives, without singling out individuals.
  • ✓
TrainingLow scores point to the Cupera training that could help.
Built on trust

Honest feedback needs safety

  • ✓
Group resultsUpward and department feedback is shown only when enough people respond, so no one can be singled out.
  • ✓
Clear rules up frontEveryone sees who can read what before they answer.
  • ✓
Reviewed before launchHR and legal review is planned before any credit union uses it.
Pricing

Simple pricing, per person

You pay for the people who use SAFE, and the price per person drops as your credit union grows. The first credit unions can start with a free 90-day pilot. These are proposed prices for planning, not final quotes.

Estimate your SAFE priceExample estimate
Estimated annual price$0
Status. SAFE is a concept. The e-guide above is an interactive demo with sample answers, and the full product is not built yet. We are looking for a few credit unions to help shape a pilot.
